Tennessee Titans dream trade back scenario revealed in Draft Day Mock from NFL Insider
Denny Simmons / The Tennessean / USA TODAY NETWORK

Offensive tackle? Wide receiver? Defensive line? Those are the options for the Tennessee Titans in round one, and plenty of prospects have gone to them in mock drafts.

One NFL insider set them up for long-term success with his final mock scenario for this year's draft.

In his final 2024 mock draft, Peter Schrager gave the Titans a perfect trade back scenario.

The Titans traded the 7th overall pick to the Minnesota Vikings to move back just four spots.

The Vikings sweat through the Chargers' and Giants' picks and care to sweat no more. To move up four spots, Minnesota gives Tennessee a host of future picks, including a first-rounder, but holds on to No. 23 overall. McCarthy lands in the best immediate situation of all of this year's top QBs. Remember, GMs Ran Carthon and Kwesi Adofo Mensah have a long history together from their days in San Francisco.

Then, Tennessee still landed Joe Alt, the top offensive tackle prospect in the class.

Tennessee trades down and still gets the All-World offensive tackle and one of the draft's top prospects at No. 11 -- plus a bunch of future Minnesota picks. Win-Win for Tennessee.

This scenario is legitimately the best possibility for the two-tone blue. They land the best prospect at their biggest position of need and recoup noteworthy draft capital to continue building the roster over the next year.

Alt is ranked fifth overall on James Foster's big board

An elite athlete with exponential height, Alt will have a tough time escaping the top 5-10 picks in April’s draft for multiple reasons. A ready made starter that just turned 21, Alt has All-Pro potential between his current skillset and sky high ceiling.

Alt's ceiling is an All-Pro tackle at the NFL level. The Titans need to improve that protection marginally for Will Levis in his second season, and this trade and selection help accomplish that in a major way.
