- 4/5 of the coaching staff
- Scouting director
- three veteran scouts
- last year's team ROY
- one of the best players in franchise history, who led the NHL in minutes played last year
Fresh start, indeed.

The Rangers are quite familiar with Trocheck after they faced him and the Hurricanes in the second round of this past season's Stanley Cup playoffs. Trocheck Carolina with six postseason goals and was arguably the Canes' best player in that round as the Blue Coats won the series in a seven-game set.
Trocheck is also well acquainted with Rangers' bench boss Gerard Gallant, who coached Trocheck when he was on the Florida Panthers.
The Pittsburgh native, who turned 29 earlier this week, has amassed 378 points (150 goals, 228 assists) through 555 career NHL games.
